Fatal damage to computer systems, televisions, stereo equipment and appliances can occur when power surges enter you home through the utility entrances including the electric meter, cable and telephone points-of-entry. StrikeSafe can help.
While StrikeSafe is not a Force-Field over or surrounding your home protecting you from direct or nearby lightning strikes, it does provide the products necessary to guard against power surges that enter your home through its utility entrances. Should your home suffer damage caused by power surges through the electric meter, phone or cable lines, the replacement costs can be steep. StrikeSafe is an inexpensive and effective product that helps in protecting those sensitive electronics.

StrikeSafe™ products are designed to stop power surges from entering your home through the electric meter line, cable line, and telephone line. A power surge is defined as more than the baseline voltage necessary to help run your home. Power blinks and outages are a result of too little voltage, thus StrikeSafe™ cannot detect these occurrances and damage caused by them are not covered under the StrikeSafe™ warranty.
- Do not place antennas in trees. If the antenna or tree is hit by lightning, large amounts of electrical energy will be felt inside your home or office.
- Do not purchase a surge protector unless it is an all-mode surge protector and has a lifetime warranty. This ensures the surge protector has protective technology installed between each wire.
- For computers, a surge protector behind the CPU / monitor is highly recommended. Make sure the surge protector has phone protection built into the device.
- Do not run electric wiring, data or telephone lines to outlying areas on top of a fence. Fences usually are un-grounded and allow large amounts of lightning energy to flow on the fence wire and enter your home. Should this exist, install a powerful surge protector at each end of the wiring.
- Satellites and Antennas are highly susceptible to nearby lightning strikes. We highly recommend a surge protector designed for satellites with coax, telephone and electrical protection. Keep in mind that even with coaxial surge protectors in place, direct or nearby lightning hits can still cause damage by subverting the protectors.
